The Pause Collapsible Stool was conceived and designed by Michael McGinn of Designframe, Inc.

While Pause was being prototyped, John Balestrieri produced computer models of the seat for designer Michael McGinn to explore different color options and renderings for marketing and publicity use by Designframe, Inc.

Unique to this project was the need to have the computer model behave just like the final product — made from corrugated cardboard — when it bends & folds.
