This is output from my first shot at ‘seeking’ behavior for the computer controlled planes (green) in the game. It became an interesting visual experiment in itself, as you can see.

I started by creating a column of 50 or so randomly placed drone planes. Before the simulation began, each plane chose (at random) another plane to follow. What emerged was a system that gradually stabilized itself into a flat, spiraling ring. This was due to a bug; rather then each plane aligning directly to its target, they aligned themselves so that their targets were always to their left.

The sequence below was captured at increasing intervals ?? the first few images were taken a second or so apart while the last images were taken several seconds apart.
